Will the Sabres Bandwagon Empty?

The Buffalo Sabres have been a remarkable sports story. They are a team of nobodies that managed one of the NHL's best records and are in the midst of a great playoff run. Numerous former Rochester Americans are leading the charge.

However, the Sabres are down two critical defenseman and are forced to resort to using a few players that struggled on this year's mediocre Rochester Americans team. So, the question is, can the Sabres create a little more magic?

And, of course, the next question is whether the Sabres hysteria will continue if the Sabres fortunes turn. I enjoy seeing hockey in the limelight. However, I suspect many of the Sabres shirts I've been seeing are fresh off the rack.

If the Sabres win tonight, they should still be in good shape to win the series and get some bodies back. If they lose, I think they'll have a difficult time winning the series and learn a lesson about having AHL depth. And, if that happens, I suspect the bandwagon will empty.
